Enhancing Children’s Lives Organization (ECL Global USA) is a Virginia-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to expanding educational opportunity and strengthening the well-being of underserved children and families. Through community-driven programs, strategic partnerships, and innovative solutions, we work to remove barriers that prevent children from learning, thriving, and reaching their full potential.

Headquartered in the Commonwealth of Virginia, our work begins within local communities while extending globally through partnerships that support children and families facing systemic barriers to education, health, safety, and opportunity. We believe that meaningful, lasting change is achieved by working alongside communities to develop practical, sustainable solutions that reflect their unique needs and strengths.

Our work spans education and literacy, healthcare and wellness, innovation and technology, environmental stewardship, arts and culture, and community development. Whether supporting students through educational initiatives, strengthening family well-being, promoting digital access, advancing environmental education, or fostering inclusive communities, our mission remains constant: creating opportunities that allow every child to learn, grow, and succeed.

Founded by Afghan-American human rights lawyer and Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree Axana Soltan, ECL Global USA was inspired by the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to build a brighter future regardless of where they are born. Having experienced conflict and displacement as a child before rebuilding her life in Virginia, Axana witnessed firsthand how education can transform lives. Those experiences continue to shape our commitment to expanding opportunity for children and families both locally and globally.

Today, ECL Global USA collaborates with educators, community organizations, public institutions, businesses, volunteers, and partners who share a common vision: that every child deserves access to education, opportunity, and the support needed to thrive.
